Halloween Film Night @ Cat Cafe Manchester

This week I visited The Cat Cafe in Manchester. I have been wanting to visit here since it was opened. When I was in Tokyo I visited a Cat Izakaya (Bar) as my birthday was a Holiday in Japan and a lot of the standard Cat Cafes were not open. The concept is still alien to the UK and many people do not know about them or how amazing they are!

I was so happy when I was working in Manchester and came across The Cat Cafe. It is situated in Central Manchester by the Printworks. The building is located on the ground floor of a modern building with flats above. Passing by you can see the cats through the window being super cute or sleeping on the window.

The cafe has a mix of breeds such as Bengal, Persian, Ragdoll, Maine coon and British short hair. They are all very cute. My favourite Kitty was Savannah who was a small Bengal who curled up with us for a whole hour. I was watching her more than the film!

The cafe offers a normal service where you can visit the cats costs £12 per hour. For that price you get an hour of cat time plus unlimited hot and cold drinks and you can stay for as long as you like. You will be billed when you leave to the nearest five minutes of your exit time.

I visited on a film night Scary Films, Blankets, Popcorn and Cat Cuddles. What better way to celebrate Halloween? They usually host this on weekends but for Halloween they have run a week of themed movies. They also do cat yoga, Kids and Cats and some Mindfulness sessions with the cats too.

All the staff are super lovely and the cats all are very happy and well cared for. While watching the fill the staff had an abundance of kitty cuddles! Some of the cats are more social than others and I had seen a few bad reviews saying that the cats did not pay attention to them or they kept running away but as a cat owner myself I know that cats come to you when they want and not when you want. If you attend with that mentality and don't crowd the cats you should have lots of fun like I did!
